Those who need nature and a healthy living environment treat them with respect. Those who live from them protect them. And those who love them give them back more than they take from them.

These are not words of wisdom. They are principles. They run through the whole life, if one wants that and if one is ready to give for it some. The question “whether” or “whether not” does not arise for us. Because if you don’t think about tomorrow first when making decisions today, you are a little naive or you just haven’t understood it yet.

For us, this credo runs through many areas:

WATER

The natural spring water comes from our farm spring 390 m.a.s.l. This mountain spring water contains important minerals, is rich in trace elements and particularly mild in taste. It mineralizes all our products. We do not consume a single drop from the public mains.

GRAIN AND BASE ALCOHOL

As the only distillery in Germany, we also produce the basic alcohol required for gin production ourselves. And that as a small family distillery. The grain used for production comes from farmers in the region. Instead of many hundreds of kilometers, the base alcohol does not travel a single kilometer until it is used. The term regionality takes on a whole new meaning in our value chain.

WOOD FROM SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY

We heat our distillery plants with wood from our own forest, which we manage sustainably. This means that more wood grows back than we need to operate our plants. We use the waste heat generated to heat our production and residential buildings. We protect the forest as a valuable habitat for plants, animals and people – for us and for all generations to come.

ENERGY

The PV system provides us with exactly the electricity we need.
